1. The UNPD/Regional Procurement Office, intends to undertake a solicitation on behalf of the UN Regional Missions in Africa and seeks Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified, duly registered and licensed companies for establishment of a Contract, for the supply and delivery of Fire Extinguishers on a long term basis under a Regional Systems Contract. 2. The requirement will mainly encompass the supply and delivery of Fire Extinguishers to be delivered to FCA locations as determined by the Contractor and/or by DAP specified locations in Africa such as Uganda, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, Mali, Sudan, South Sudan and Kenya among others. 3. The items required and the estimated annual quantities are provided below; Specification Annual Estimated Quantity - Mobile Fire Points 1,200 (pcs) - Fifty kg Wheeled Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers 250 (pcs) - Medium Fire Extinguisher Cover 700 (pcs) - 9V Optical Smoke Alarm with Test and Hush Button 2,500 (pcs) - Fire Extinguisher Inspection Tags 1,500 (pcs) - Fire Extinguisher Pull-Tite Tamper Seals 1,500 (pcs) - 6Kg Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers 350 (pcs) - 2 Kg Carbon Dioxide Fire Extinguishers 350 (pcs) - Automatic/Manual FE-36 Fire Suppression System 85 (pcs) - Manual Evacuation Panic Button with Siren 10 (pcs) - Fire Fighter Protective Suits 50 (pcs) 4. The proposed term of Contract(s) shall be for an initial period of one (1) year with an option to extend for an additional two one (1) year successive periods (1+1+1), at the sole discretion of the UN, to extend under the same terms and conditions and at the same prices as agreed by the UN, subject to UN budgets and mandates as determined by the General Assembly and the Security Council of the United Nations and the satisfactory performance of the vendor(s). 5. Companies interested must demonstrate their capability and provide evidence that they have enough resources and capacity to meet the requirement, including but not limited to authorisation issued by the manufacturers to re-sale their products, dealership agreements and proof of experience in supplying fire fighting equipment. 6. Companies interested in providing the above services are invited to submit the vendor Response Form below, together with the following documents: a) Company’s address, contact person, telephone numbers and e-mail; b) Company’s registration number (if already registered with UN) and UNGM registration number (www.ungm.org). 7. As you express interest in the planned solicitation by submitting the response form, please verify and ensure that your company is registered under its full legal name with the UN Secretariat on the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org). 8. Note that companies that have previously submitted EOI for similar services with UN must re-submit full documentation as detailed above. 9. Please note, this is not an invitation for submission of bid or proposal. Its purpose is to identify companies that would be interested to participate in the solicitation when issued. 10. The UNPD/RPO will examine the outcome of this request for EOI and will consider those companies that have expressed their interest providing the required information as to their ability to fulfill UNPD/RPO’s requirement. 11. The UNPD/RPO reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI and/or solicitation process. Thus, submitting a reply to this REOI does not automatically guarantee your company will be considered for receipt of the solicitation when issued. The tender and any subsequent commitment to contract will be issued in accordance with UN rules and regulations. 12. The expressions of interest (EOI) is to be submitted by e-mail to unesb-rpo@un.org no later than 14 June 2017 and clearly marked with the inscription “Installation, repair and maintenance services for X-Ray Inspection Checkpoint Machines and Metal Detectors (Stationary and Walk-Through) for UNESB". 13. EOIs not addressing the above criteria to the satisfaction of UNPD/RPO shall not be considered for the solicitation to bid, if and when issued. UNPD/RPO reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the solicitation and mere expressing and interest would not automatically warrant for solicitation document. 14.
